garage gyration

gyratory system  –  un-sound

current favourite track off the fine ‘new harmony’ album. this is it’s ‘pop’ moment I guess. it’s strikingly pretty. elsewhere, the same tightly wound and infectious melodic patterns build and twist throughout the record until about 8/9 tracks in you aren’t sure if you can take it any more. by the time you get to the end of ‘gargoyle’ it’s like your head is teeming with over excited electronic beetles. then just as it reaches full-on mania the frenetic energy of it finally drops for the last track. i’d say it’s perfectly judged but you may have more or less patience available where you are.
